STOP ONE
We started our night off at Fonda Lola on Queen St W. I had never been to this Mexican eatery before, and was pleasantly surprised when I noticed the "secret" garden patio out back! It was so beautiful! I'd love to go back later in the evening one night, as they have colourful lights hanging along the sides. I'm sure it'd be a lovely sight! Obviously I have to mention the food! The food didn't stop coming out! One after another we were presented with plates of delicious options. There is something here for everyone. Myself and @TIF_Richard were bold enough to ask for the hottest sauce possible to dip our Jalapeno Poppers...and it did not disappoint!

In addition the the many food options that Fonda Lola offered, we also had a chance to get schooled behind the bar! Well, we were in front of the bar...but nonetheless, we learned a thing or two! One of the owners of Fonda Lola, Andrés Márquez, was behind the bar explaining that Fonda Lola uses the freshest ingredients, including making their own version of simple syrup to cut down on the sugars - to highlight the flavours of all their cocktails. From bringing in Finger Limes from California to smoking their Coca-Cola with hickory and apple flavoured ashes (yes, smoking!) - Fonda Lola has stepped the cocktail game up a notch!

TRANSPORTATION
PayPal did it right by arranging for multiple blacked-out SUV's to bring us to our next stop of the night. We got quite a few looks from passerby's when we headed out from Fonda Lola to the awaiting SUV's!

STOP TWO
Our next, and final stop of the night was at the rooftop patio at The Beverly Hotel on Queen St. W. After dragging ourselves up the stairs (it was then that I noticed JUST how out of shape I am and am heading to the gym STAT!), we were greeted by Aja, the bartender with all her tricks up her sleeve! We had a few minutes to take in the beautiful view, enjoy a beverage (Prosecco and Apple Cider - delicious!) and nibble on even more food before getting another lesson from behind the bar. Except, this time - we got to make our own cocktails afterwards too!
Aja showed us how to make some of the classic cocktails available at The Beverly Hotel, including the Old Fashioned as well as a French 75, which has a blend of simple syrup, gin and sparkling wine. Of course, @TIF_Richard and I opted to make the French 75's...as well as enjoy them afterwards!
