Embracing My Sweet Tooth with Prairie Girl Bakery

I can never say no to a delicious sweet treat, especially cupcakes! Cupcakes are my weakness! I've had the pleasure of trying many cupcakes in my time, trust me - my hips don't lie! Some of my favourites have come from Prairie Girl Bakery.

Last year, for my 30th second 29th birthday, a friend of mine showed up to dinner with 30 Prairie Girl Bakery cupcakes! Someone else also showed up with another 30 home-made cupcakes so, needless to say - there was no shortage of cupcakes for the group of 10 of us that were out! LOL Not to worry - all were eaten!

A couple weeks ago I did my juice fasting, and while it was great - I needed deserved a treat afterwards! Cupcakes were just the thing I needed! So I headed over to Prairie Girl Bakery and picked some up.

Prairie Girl Bakery has a couple locations throughout downtown Toronto, and a constant variety of flavours available.  You can also call ahead for pick-up at McEwan at the Shops at Don Mills if you are in that area. With new "Treats of the Week" being offered weekly (obviously!), you can try a new flavour every week. If you are more of a traditional cupcake eater, you can order off of their standard menu

Prairie Girl Bakery not only has their standard menu but they are also accommodating to vegan diets and gluten allergies When you are ordering online, or in store, just mention your dietary restrictions and they will help you out and let you know which are available for you to choose from!  Flavours include, but are not limited to:
Dark Cocoa Cupcakes with Strawberry Icing
Canada Cupcakes with a Chocolate Cream Cheese Icing
Golden Buttermilk Cupcakes with Vanilla Icing and Topped with Toasted Coconut

Using the "old fashioned" way of making their cupcakes, with ingredients such as Belgian chocolate and creamy butterPrairie Girl Bakery never sells "day-old" cupcakes, any extras they may have are donated to Toronto's Second Harvest for those in need.  Prairie Girl Bakery also gives back to the community by donating gift cards and freshly made cupcakes to worthy causes through their Supporting Our Community Program.

So, the next time you are organizing a social event, wedding, birthday or when you just have a sweet tooth craving that just HAS to be filled - I suggest heading over to Prairie Girl Bakery! There are so many flavours to choose from - it'll be hard to pick just one!

Hint of Advice: Choose more than one - treat yourself!
