My Wanderlust Wishlist - Volume Three - USA

As I'm arranging some more trips over the next few months, I've been looking up different places I wish to visit and have come up with my next Wanderlust Wishlist! The first featured a few places here within Canada, then I went overseas to Europe. Now I'm back closer to home, and lusting after places in the United States

I was lucky enough to have lived in Las Vegas a few years ago. Not only did I live in Las Vegas, but I got there by driving; and on top of that, I drove from Las Vegas to Vancouver afterwards! Then from Vancouver back to Toronto! You all know I love my road trips! Living in Las Vegas was truly memorable. My time there wasn't spent on "The Strip", mostly it was exploring the outskirts and living as a true local

There are 50 states in the USA, and I've narrowed down this Wanderlust Wishlist edition to four of the main places I wish to visit and experience!

Houston

Houston Texas
Houston
Any place that is hometown to Queen Bey, is a place I'd like to visit! LOL That being said, I know Houston has a lot more to offer! Did you know Houston has a water wall, that is 64 feet, the Williams Waterwall? And The Orange Show, a series of walkway mazes, balconies, arenas and exhibits, took over 20 years to make. After funding from a variety of sponsors (including members of ZZ Top!), the site has been restored and is open for tours. I'd love to check that out!

New Orleans

New Orleans
New Orleans
New Orleans is one of those cities you hear so much about. The stories people tell about their time there are the kind of stories that just make you want to visit even more! Influenced by Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and so much more - New Orleans, The Big Easy, is known for it's food, charm, and of course - parties! Mardi Gras is known worldwide - and I want to experience it first hand! Visiting the French Quarter and learning the history of New Orleans, all while enjoying some amazing food? Sounds perfect to me!

Detroit

Detroit Michigan
Detroit
The D. Motown. Detroit has so many nicknames! Though they have been hit hard with the recession and the city had to file for bankruptcy in 2013, this is still a city with a rich history. From the American Revolution to the Underground Railroad - Detroit's history is one I personally would love to learn more about. The music scene is also one to experience. Checking out the Motown Historical Museum and then following that up with a night out at some of the many Motown clubs downtown sounds like fun to me! And, Detroit is the birthplace of the automobile - so, obviously I have to visit - you know I love my road trips

Boston

Boston MA
Boston
Boston, "Bah-stin" LOL With it's New England charm, Boston is a world renowned city known for it's beauty and Fenway Park! LOL But seriously, every picture I've seen of Boston is beautiful, it looks like a gorgeous city. Some staples I'd love to visit and scratch off my bucket list are, of course, Fenway Park, Cheers, the Freedom Trail and the shopping district on Newbury Street. After trying Samuel Adams for the first time a couple weeks ago at the Media Preview for AwesTRUCK, I'd love to check out The Boston Beer Company as well!
