#WinterIsComing - The Toronto Snow Show Is Too!

The Toronto Snow Show

Now, I have to be honest. I have never been skiing or snowboarding  - HOWEVER, it is something that I have always wanted to try! I've always been nervous though, seeing as I am ridiculously clumsy, LOL! On that note, I have been saying that I want to break out of my comfort zone and try new things - so maybe this year will be the year!

What better way to get yourself psyched up for some winter activities than attending Canada’s largest ski, snowboard and travel show? The Toronto Snow Show is coming to Toronto from October 16-19, 2014 - AND I WANT TO SEND YOU AND A FRIEND THERE! (Continue reading for your chance to win!) The Toronto Snow Show is your one stop shop to get winter-ready. At the show you will find snow sports gear, great deals on equipment as well as holiday packages and more!
Whether you’re a bunny hill newbie or a pro shredder, the Show will have something for you.
The largest ski and snowboard show of its kind in CanadaThe Toronto Snow Show, (formerly the Toronto Ski, Snowboard & Travel Show) will be held at the International Centre. Dedicated to preserving and supporting the Canadian ski industry, The Toronto Snow Show is produced by the Canadian National Sportsmen's Shows (CNSS) and the Canadian Ski Council

The Toronto Snow Show will host many manufacturers such as Burton, Nordica, Elan, Rossignol and have exhibitors such as Sanction Skate and Snow and Corbetts Ski and Snowboard.

2014 Show Highlights

Rail Jam

Come watch as some of Canada’s top pro and amateur snowboarders and skiers take to the Rail Jam to show the audience what they’re made of. This highly acclaimed sporting event is FREE and runs with scheduled times for the duration of the show.

Burton Riglet Park

It’s never too early to get your little one in a pair of skis or on a snowboard. Presented by Burton and back by popular demand is the Burton Riglet Park, a miniature terrain-based snowboard park that utilizes small terrain features, combined with Burton’s Riglet Reel technology, to guide young snowboarders through the movements and sensations of snowboarding. Our expert instructors will have your little one ready to hit the slopes in no time.

Canada’s Biggest Ski and Snowboard Swap

If you’re looking to upgrade your skis or board but aren’t looking to break the bank, consider taking part in the Canadian Ski Patrol’s Winter Ski & Board Swap - the largest and best equipment exchange in the country. With thousands of brand new and pre-owned skis, boards, boots and accessories for purchase, you’re sure to find the right equipment for you. Visitors are also encouraged to bring in their family’s used and outgrown equipment for a cool profit. Pre-loved equipment can be dropped off free of charge on Wednesday, October 15 after 6pm as well as on Thursday, October 16 and Friday October 17 between 6pm and 9pm. (show admission is required).

I'm thinking I might need to hit the slopes at Burton Riglet Park, where toddlers can start training. Or maybe I will put on my big-girl pants and learn from the pros at Rail Jam!
